Our wine grows on the sunny slopes along the Moselle valley. All of our vineyards are in stone layers. The vertical solar radiation ensures optimal heating of the soil. The slate soil stores the heat and slowly releases it to the vines. The result is fully ripe grapes and a fine yet fruity wine.
Our bests
Some speak of Riesling as the queen of grapevines. We gladly agree and therefore grow Riesling grapes on our winery. The whole family helps with the autumn harvest. From the pressed grapes and through careful handling, a fresh and at the same time aromatic wine matures in our tanks. Our Johanneshof Riesling has a beautiful fruit with light citrus notes, a fine and not obtrusive acidity and a very good balance. It is a very nice, light and wholesome wine at and after the table.
